1) Pass the cord loop through the ring on the dummy.
2) Bend the chain and pass the clip end through the cord loop.
3) Continue to push the chain length all the way through so only the cord is looped / tied to the ring of the dummy.
Can I Attach A Toy To A Dummy Chain?
Short answer: NO
You should never attach a toy to a dummy chain, and should instead only use a safety certified dummy / pacifier. Baby toy (36 months and under) have a different safety styandard than dummy chains, as both items are used in different ways. It is not possible for a dummy chain to pass the toy safety standard. When a toy is attached to a dummy chain, the whole item becomes a toy, and in turn the whole item becomes non-compliant (as a dummy chain and a toy) with mandatory Australian safety standards.
It's possible you have seen such items described as being a 'toy saver' or etc, but this is why it is very important to only source baby products from reputable businesses who know and comply with safety standards, as many sellers provide non-compliant and dangerous products.
Are Dummy Clips Safe For All Ages?
In Australia, we have mandatory safety standards which define the properties and design details that dummy chains must comply with in order to be safe for children under 36 months old. These safety standards include requirements that ensure the item cannot release small parts, are not long enough to pose a strangulation risk, and other carefully considered safety aspects.
All of our designs have been tested to meet the requirements set out in the safety standard EN12586, as required by Australian product safety legislation.
